120th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose

          Today 23.01.2017 is the 120th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.  Netaji born on 23.01.1897 at Cuttack, India.  India Post released postal stamps on birth anniversary in various years.

          In 1964 on his 67th birth anniversary set of two stamps were released.  Signature of Netaji can also be seen on 15np stamp.

 

          On Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Birth centenary in 1997 a commemorative stamp was released by India Post on 23.01.1997.

 

         

 India Post has so far released two definitive stamps for regular public usage.

                                                                                                                                                               

Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Centenary Postal Stamp

Postal Stamp on Dr M.G. Ramachandran issued by India Post and released by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Sri O Panneerselvam on his birth centenary on 17.01.2017. This is the second stamp on MGR. Earlier on 17.01.1990 a commemorative stamp on his birthday was released.  Both stamps look a like except the smile.  The new stamp is priced at Rs 15.00
